Sometimes full-time just doesn’t fit. As a parent myself, I know this all too well. In fact it’s the reason Yasmin and I are doing what we are doing with School Hours. Working full-time in an office environment was just, well difficult. While the money was great, it’s not the only thing.
We found working both working full-time got particularly difficult once our kids hit school age. “Hang on this was supposed to get easier” we thought, but it didn’t. It got cheaper with childcare costing nearly double what an elite private school does (before the rebate anyway), but it didn’t get easier. Earlier pick-up times, school concerts & plays, sports days & carnivals all took their toll until we decided part-time for at least one of us was the only way we were going to mange all the conflicting priorities.
One of our big goals with School Hours was to have one of the most comprehensive line-ups of flexible roles of any jobs website in Australia and we’re well on our way. If you’re looking for a part-time job, School Hours is now a very viable option to the mainstream jobs sites. There isn’t thousands to choose from, in fact as I write this there is 263, however they are quality part-time jobs across a range of industries, sectors and companies. Some of the main category links are listed below:
And this is only the tip of the iceberg. There are heaps more categories with lots of part-time job opportunities in them already on the website and we’re adding new employers weekly. If what you’re looking for isn’t listed above, jump on to the website’s main search page and fill in the parameters that suit you and search for your ideal part-time job. You can even save the search and have new job listings sent straight to your inbox when they get entered into our system. We hope you love what you are seeing around the website lately, we know we sure do.
